About
Safita Tower, known to the Crusaders as Chastel Blanc (the White Castle), is a massive stone keep built by the Knights Templar on the hilltop around which the town of Safita lies. Its ground floor holds the Church of St Michael, where services are still held, and from its roof the view reaches the sea.
