The Barada Spring is a small spring-fed lake in the Zabadani plain near the village of al-Rawda, where the Barada river begins its course through Wadi Barada towards Damascus. It is a place for outings in summer.

Wadi Barada is the valley cut by the Barada river between the Zabadani plain and Damascus, its banks lined with villages, orchards and restaurants. It holds the Ain al-Fijeh spring and the remains of ancient Abila at Souq Wadi Barada, and the old railway from Damascus to Zabadani runs through it.
